Last week, WaterAfrica Co-Founder Diane Savage sat down to reflect on the first drilling day she attended, nearly 10 years ago in Chimonselo Village, Zambia. Thistle seeds wrapped in an old handkerchief. You don’t want to miss Diane’s story of life-changing joy and hope.
WaterAfrica was born out this story and others like it. Ten years ago Bill and Diane Savage began traveling into rural Zambia where they encountered the dramatic, deadly impact of unsafe water. But they also saw the life-changing possibilities when this problem was solved through World Vision’s thoughtful, sustainable WASH development model. Many people have come alongside Bill and Diane through these years since and the WaterAfrica Community has become a significant force for bringing life-changing Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene to rural Zambia. Thank you for being part of the WaterAfrica story.
We are excited to move into 2015 with new leadership and expanded vision. But before we go, please don’t forget that we have a challenge goal of $45,000 in our End of Year Fundraising Campaign and we are nearly there! Please help boost us over the top and into the New Year.
DON’T FORGET: All donations to WaterAfrica from now to the end of 2014 will be donated directly to World Vision WASH projects in Zambia in honor of Bill and Diane Savage! Please join us in this tribute to their remarkable leadership.
UPDATE 1/17/15: WaterAfrica raised $90,000 in our End of the Year Fundraising Campaign and this money was given to World Vision’s WASH work in Zambia in honor of Bill & Diane!
